Ascendia is founded in Bucharest by Cosmin Mălureanu as a Romanian e-learning company, with an early focus on educational software for the K12 segment.

Awarded an Azure credits grant from the Microsoft AI for Accessibility programme for the Timlogo project — an AI-driven speech-development platform.

Recognised in the Microsoft AI for Accessibility Hall of Fame in the Education segment for LIVRESQ. One of three education companies worldwide and the only European education company in the Hall of Fame.

EduLib — the first national virtual library for gymnasium-level education in Romania — is delivered in December 2023. Ascendia participated in the consortium through LIVRESQ licensing and e-learning content development services.

On 1 July 2024, Ascendia is selected as a member of the European Commission Digital Education Content (DEC) expert group, established under DG EAC inside the Digital Education Action Plan 2021–2027.

Acceptance into the NVIDIA Connect ISV programme reported to the Bucharest Stock Exchange on 8 July 2025, strengthening the AI development layer behind LIVRESQ and CoffeeLMS.

LIVRESQ accepted into the first EMEA cohort of Google for Startups Growth Academy: AI for GovTech — 25 solutions worldwide, the only one from Romania. Three-month accelerator with mentorship from Google executives, expanding the AI infrastructure of LIVRESQ for public-sector scale. Filed with BVB on 23 September 2025 (current report ASC 6701).

BVB current report records the first LIVRESQ Companion contract reaching more than 10,000 teachers across 800 schools in Romania. AI teacher assistant developed and accelerated through Ascendia’s participation in Google for Startups Growth Academy: AI for GovTech (cohort selected Sep 2025).
