Programme: Google for Startups Growth Academy: AI for GovTech (2025-09)
Result: LIVRESQ Companion · 10,000+ teachers · BVB current report (2026-04)
Ascendia frames AI as governed public capacity: teacher support, responsible deployment, verified partners, and institutional administration.
Public-sector AI must reduce administrative burden without weakening sovereignty, transparency, accessibility, or institutional control.
LIVRESQ Companion (the AI teacher assistant launched in 2026 as a result of Ascendia's selection in Google for Startups Growth Academy: AI for GovTech in September 2025), NVIDIA Connect, and National Digital Pedagogy place Ascendia's AI direction inside real education-system capacity building rather than speculative product messaging.
Three records on the public sheet: (01) LIVRESQ selected for Google for Startups Growth Academy: AI for GovTech (Sep 2025); (02) LIVRESQ Companion launched as a direct result (Apr 2026); (03) LIVRESQ accepted into Google for Startups Scale Tier for cloud and AI infrastructure support (May 2026).
Responsible AI tools need real adoption environments. LIVRESQ recorded 14 million measured views over the last 12 months, giving AI-supported teacher workflows an active public-interest learning surface rather than a cold launch channel.
Ascendia reported acceptance into NVIDIA Connect, strengthening the AI development layer behind its learning infrastructure direction.
AI and digital capability are positioned inside public capacity building: 60,000 teachers, more than 30,000 OERs, and 12 training consortiums.

BVB current report · 08 Jul 2025 (EN)EduLib proves national digital library infrastructure. National Digital Pedagogy proves OER production capacity, teacher enablement, and reusable public educational assets at system scale.

Flagship public infrastructure
EduLib is a nationally implemented virtual library for gymnasium-level education and the first project of its kind in Romania, with individualized and assisted learning components. Ascendia participated in the EduLib consortium; its contracted contribution covered LIVRESQ direct licensing for the Ministry of Education and e-learning content development services for gymnasium-level lessons.

Procurement implication · June 2025
The European Accessibility Act mandates EN 301 549 conformance for digital services entering the EU market. Non-conformant digital products are disqualified from public tender evaluation under the EAA's product/service scope from June 2025.
Ascendia has held Microsoft AI for Accessibility Hall of Fame recognition since 2018. EN 301 549 conformance is built into the platform architecture — not added as a compliance overlay. For procurement evaluators, this resolves EAA tender requirements before the question is asked.
Accessibility is treated as strategic public-interest proof, not as a product afterthought or a procurement checkbox.
European Accessibility Act 2025 and the Web Accessibility Directive make inclusive digital education a compliance and legitimacy requirement.
The homepage posture is that education infrastructure should be usable across ability, context, institution, and device from the start.
Regulatory framework
NIS2, DORA, the European Accessibility Act, and the EU AI Act each impose training or conformance obligations on public-sector and regulated-enterprise buyers. Procurement can be justified on mandate grounds before a business case is filed.

EU AI Act

Ascendia is listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB: ASC) since 2016. Annual reports, governance disclosures, and audited financials are public record. Procurement teams gain a counterparty subject to capital-markets disclosure obligations — most digital-education vendors are private and opaque.
